Heniff Transportation Systems received Trimble’s 2023 Ovation Award as the trucking industry’s best in improving overall efficiencies through use of technology. The award category relates to efforts to harness the power of technology to automate business processes, eliminate paperwork, and reduce human oversight.
“We’re very pleased to accept this award from our partners at Trimble,” Joe Neal, Heniff’s chief technology officer, said in a news release.  “Given the operating complexities of the tank truck segment, our team here at Heniff strives to utilize our technology each day to streamline our business processes and simplify the administrative burdens of our professional drivers.
“The Ovation Award affirms that we’re making progress for the betterment of the whole company.”
Heniff’s partnership with the Trimble companies goes back over 20 years, beginning with TMW and TMT.   In 2011, Heniff implemented Trimble’s mobility product from PeopleNet in its early years, when the company operated only 250 tractors. The partnership between the two companies provided Heniff with a foundational technology platform that allowed for simplified system integration as it grew into one of the largest service providers in the tanker industry.
“Technology plays a significant role in our safety-based mission,” added Leon Lupina, Heniff’s vice president of safety. “The receipt of this award demonstrates that our investment in state-of-the-art technologies and related tools contributes to our industry-leading safety performance amongst our peer group of operators.”
