Walker emerges from list of 36 finalists as exemplary ‘Change Maker’ in 2023 Avetta Awards for safety and sustainability achievements.

Kenneth “Trey” Walker, EHS manager at Quantix, recently won a 2023 Avetta Award for prioritizing a culture of safety and sustainability.

Walker emerged in the “Change Makers” category.

The Avetta Awards are based on a set of objective criteria and judged by Avetta safety and compliance experts in addition to a rotating panel of industry executives, entrepreneurs, innovators, and compliance experts. This year’s industry judges included Adele Abrams, president of the Law Office of Adele L. Abrams; Brian Fielkow, EVP of risk at Acrisure; and Subena Colligan, EHS coach and consultant, and principal at S. Colligan Coaching.

“Risk, safety, and sustainability innovation is at the heart of our offerings and our clients’ programs,” Arshad Martin, CEO of Avetta—a provider of supply chain risk management software—said in a news release. “These awards recognize excellence in program execution. These companies and individuals are true champions of their industries and are making a significant impact on supply chains worldwide.”

Winners were selected from a list of 36 finalists across six categories. They represent companies that have reduced global incident rates, including one winner that reduced vendor incident rates by 38% and another that improved compliance rates by 33% in only 4 months, Avetta said. Other winners include companies that have automated risk compliance through API integrations, and early adopters of new ESG and GHG solutions.

Winners received their awards June 27 at the 2023 Avetta Client Summit in Houston.
