State-of-the-art, 31,647-square-foot facility features 16 service bays, full fabrication area, more than $1 million in inventory

PSC of Joliet, Ill., recently moved into a state-of-the-art new repair facility.

The 31,647-square-foot building situated 1 mile east of I-55 on U.S. Route 6 includes 16 service bays, a 10-ton bridge crane, an air-conditioned shop, a 2,200-square-foot full fabrication area, and power doors, as well as a second-floor office area and lunchroom.

The 6,000-square-foot warehouse that is part of the facility houses more than $1 million in inventory, the company said.

“The new location represents a significant increase in size and capabilities from the previous location,” said Jerry Cignarella, PSC president. “Combined with the space for future expansion, the new facility underscores our company’s ongoing growth, as well as the increased demand for our services.”

PSC Joliet entered the area in May 2001 with the opening of a two-bay shop, subsequently increased its capacity to five bays in 2003, and two years later expanded to an 11-bay facility where the company remained until its most recent move last December.

The new facility increased the number of personnel to more than 30 team members, including 18 technicians, four parts sales personnel, and three parts delivery drivers, PSC said.

“With this move and increase in personnel, we will be better able to meet the needs of our customers,” said John Marsh, general manager.

“Since we entered the area 20 years ago, we have watched our company grow consistently as market needs expanded. We’re excited about this latest transition and look forward to continuing to satisfy the requirements of the tank trailer and tank truck industry.”
