Aug. 27, 2021
2021 event, set for Sept. 19-25, to celebrate the hard work, commitment of professional technicians—who perform one of the most demanding roles in trucking

The American Trucking Associations and ATA’s Technology & Maintenance Council will host the second annual National Technician Appreciation Week beginning Sept. 19.

“While our industry’s trucks keep the country moving, we are pleased to take a week to recognize the efforts of the men and women who keep those trucks moving: America’s professional technicians,” said Chris Spear, ATA president and CEO. “The work these professionals do is critical to the success of every motor carrier in the country.

“Without their efforts, our trucks wouldn’t be able to deliver the essential goods that keep our economy running.”

NTAW will provide an opportunity to celebrate the hard work and commitment of professional technicians, who perform one of the most demanding and critical roles in trucking. This week will not only acknowledge the extraordinary efforts of these dedicated pros, but also help attract prospective talent to one of the most in-demand careers in the industry.

“We are very excited to launch the second annual National Technician Appreciation Week, highlighting the professional technicians that are so indispensable to the industry,” said Robert Braswell, TMC executive director. “Technicians are part of the backbone of the trucking industry. Without them, making sure vehicles are ready for service and in safe condition, drivers can’t make the deliveries we rely on.

“This is the perfect time for our industry and the general public to show their appreciation and say, ‘Thank you’ to these important individuals and the valuable work they do.”
