The Indiana Motor Truck Association (IMTA) recently recognized veteran Grammer Logistics technician David Bean, who won the trucking association’s “What is so Special About a Technician” essay competition.
Grammer’s lead maintenance technician claimed a $500 cash prize for winning the first annual contest, which was part of the new National Technician Appreciation Week celebration.
IMTA presented Bean, who was accompanied by his wife, with his prize at Grammer’s Indiana shop.
“This award simply confirms what David’s Grammer colleagues know—he is the consummate professional,” the company said in a Facebook post. “He not only teaches and reinforces Grammer’s equipment safety standards throughout the organization, he was a member of the original team that developed those standards from the onset.”
