The American Trucking Associations is seeking nominations for the third annual Mike Russell “Good stuff” Trucking Image Award. The award honors those that creatively generate positive awareness of the trucking industry.
“As an industry, it is important that we highlight trucking's essentiality,” said Bill Graves, ATA president and chief executive officer. “This award provides a chance to recognize those that have gone above and beyond to promote trucking's role as the backbone of the American economy.”
Submissions will be evaluated by an impartial panel of judges based on creativity, execution, and reach/impact. All submissions must be submitted to the image campaign by September 14, 2009. Winners will be announced during ATA's annual Management Conference & Exhibition, set for October 4-7 in Las Vegas NV.

The award is named in honor of the late Mike Russell, a trucking industry supporter and media official who helped develop the “Good stuff. Trucks Bring It.” campaign as vice-president of public affairs for the ATA. Russell's efforts to improve the image of the trucking industry inspired this award.
“Good stuff. Trucks Bring It” is an industrywide campaign aimed at improving the image of trucking. By emphasizing the relevance of trucking to all aspects of American society, the image campaign presents the public with a positive, modern image of the professional driver and industry.
