Streem swells tank container fleet

The French company will manage its newly acquired VTG assets under its Eurotainer and Raffles Lease brands.

Streem Group, which is headquartered in France, recently acquired VTG’s tank container fleet, which now will be managed under Streem’s Eurotainer and Raffles Lease brands, the company reported.

“This strategic move strengthens our leading position in global tank container leasing,” the company said in a news release. “All newly acquired tanks have been fully integrated into our operations, ensuring seamless service with no disruption to ongoing activities.”

Streem went to market as Ermewa Group before a 2023 rebrand. The company boasts more than 1,300 employees and 40 locations worldwide. It reported operating 85,000 ISO tanks before adding VTG’s fleet. “This acquisition reflects our commitment to supporting customer growth, improving operational resilience, and investing in a robust, sustainable fleet for the future,” Streem stated.

VTG previously sold tank container assets to Suttons Group, according to reports. The company also announced its plans to discontinue its tank container transport and logistics business in 2023.
