Exosent Engineering earns 2026 NPGA Safety Award

The recognition celebrates the Texas-based LPG transport manufacturer’s innovative designs, which are fueling market adoption as more fleets discover their inherent safety advantages.

Key Highlights

  • Exosent Engineering was awarded the 2026 NPGA Safety Award for its focus on safety, driver comfort, and vehicle stability in LPG transport trailers.
  • The company's innovative designs include a low center-of-gravity tank that offers 30% greater rollover stability and advanced aluminum baffles for reduced slosh.
  • Exosent is expanding its manufacturing capacity and distribution network, including new partnerships and plans for a major facility expansion.
  • Field tests have shown Exosent trailers' resistance to rollovers, significantly reducing recovery time and enhancing safety in hazardous conditions.
  • The company is integrating new technology, such as auto-inflation systems with GPS tracking, to further improve safety and operational efficiency.

The National Propane Gas Association recently honored LPG transport manufacturer Exosent Engineering with its 2026 NPGA Safety Award for “distinguished service to the cause of safety in the propane industry.”

Exosent received the award earlier this month at NPGA’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C.

“President UV Doron and his team at Exosent relentlessly focus on improving operational safety while reducing driver fatigue and stress and improving vehicle stability,” the association said in a LinkedIn post. “Exosent equipment combines cutting-edge structural integrity, driver-centered ergonomics, and superior handling—resulting in safer operations and reduced risk.”

Doron celebrated the honor on social media, saying it’s a reflection of what they work toward every day: building “propane transport and bobtail equipment that makes drivers safer, reduces fatigue, and raises the standard” for the tank truck industry. “Our low center-of-gravity tank design delivers 30% greater rollover stability,” Doron said. “Our advanced aluminum perforated baffles reduce slosh so dramatically that drivers consistently tell us these trailers pull smoother than anything else on the road.

“Every design decision we make starts with the person behind the wheel.”

In a follow-up interview with Bulk Transporter, Doron said the award proves his MC-331 tankers and bobtails are “a big deal” when it comes to real-world safety impacts, and puts the company “on the map” with fleets who hadn’t yet heard of Exosent’s innovative designs; and aso shared updates on the company’s growth, including its expanding distribution network.

“This innovation is changing the industry,” Doron asserted. “It’s making drivers’ lives much better.”

Substantial market growth

The award comes during a period of expansion for the Navasota, Texas-based manufacturer. Since Bulk Transporter first visited Exosent’s facility for an April 2023 story, the company has sold nearly 150 of its highly specialized trailers once considered an industry novelty. And that success is particularly notable given the recent weakness in the broader market for crude, gasoline, and chemical trailers.

Doron described 2024 as a “stellar year” and noted 2025 delivered a 20% increase in business. That momentum has continued into 2026, with mid-year numbers rivaling total output in 2024, he shared. To support this demand, the company is expanding its distribution network, including a new partnership with The Jack Olsta Co.—which has moved approximately 20 units over the last nine months—and a new distributor in New England.

Manufacturing and technological advancements

Exosent also is investing in its manufacturing capabilities to maintain quality and meet rising demand. The facility recently added a CNC mill to machine its own nozzles in-house, as well as a secondary machine for pressing tank heads, Doron said.

And, looking ahead, he is considering a major facility expansion. “I’m beginning to evaluate the necessity of adding another building to the one we’re in now,” he stated. This expansion, driven in part by a burgeoning market for storage tanks, would add another 55,000 sq. ft. of production space, doubling Exosent’s current manufacturing footprint.

On the technology front, Exosent recently strengthened its partnership with Pressure Systems International, incorporating a fully integrated auto-inflation system with a GPS module that provides vehicle tracking and back-office alerts for abnormal tire pressures and temperatures.

Safety in the field

The core of the NPGA recognition remains the trailer’s safety performance. Doron noted that “unsolicited field tests”—incidents where trailers have slid into ditches—have demonstrated the design’s resistance to rollovers. Unlike traditional trailers that roll over, requiring hours of labor to empty and recover, Exosent’s LPG transports have proven capable of remaining upright in hazardous conditions.

Beyond the tankers, the company also is enjoying success with its bobtail designs, which provide an additional 300 to 400 gallons of capacity while maintaining proper weight distribution.

“I’m hoping this award helps us keep growing—and we’re already very busy,” Doron concluded.
