Management, Sage Capital acquire Bulk Tank Inc

June 1, 2016

Bulk Tank Inc, Park Hills MO, has been acquired by an investor group led by Sage Capital along with nine members of the Company’s current management team including its founder, Dave Sisk.

Bulk Tank’s operations will continue in their current location in Park Hills, and all employees will remain with the company.  The company will be led by Andy Boyer, who previously served as the company’s chief operating officer.

Sisk has agreed to continue working with the Company in a senior executive capacity, focusing particularly on new products, sales and overall strategy, and will also serve as a director of the company. The company’s subsidiary, Pneumatic Tank Services LLC, will be managed separately under the leadership of Brent Kemp.

“As an industry leader with a track record of innovation, Bulk Tank is the type of business in which we like to invest,” said Sage Capital’s co-founder John Lemkemeier.  “We are fortunate to have this opportunity to partner with such an outstanding management team.”

Sisk said: “A key consideration in our thinking about succession planning was to ensure continuity for our people and strong dedication to our customers. Sage Capital’s values and long-term investment focus are a good fit with us. I included the whole management team in the process of finding the right partner, and they unanimously selected Sage.”

Bulk Tank is a leading manufacturer of valves and other flow-control components for use in pneumatic dry-bulk trailers and railcars. Sage Capital is a private equity firm based in Saint Louis MO that makes long-term investments in small and medium-sized businesses in partnership with talented executives and management teams.
