OPW Engineered Systems, a division of OPW Fluid Transfer Group, announced that the LPG terminal in Sparta Junction NJ that is supplied by Targa Midstream Services and operated by Eastern Liquids LLC, has upgraded its loading arms to LPG “A” Frame Loading Arms.
Designed and manufactured by OPW Engineered Systems, the “A” Frame Loading Arms have provided the Sparta Junction LPG terminal with safe, efficient, and ergonomically appealing transfer of propane since the upgrade.
“This expansion at the Sparta Junction was built with safety as the No. 1 priority,” said Robert B. Nicholson III, president/CEO of Eastern Propane Corporation and Eastern Liquids. “We wanted to be recognized as the industry's leading, state-of-the-art facility when it came to safety and efficiency. The loading arms from OPW have certainly helped us by providing safe and efficient railcar unloading at our terminal.”
This portion of the 40-acre Sparta Junction facility has 240,000 gallons of overall LPG storage capacity spread among four 60,000-gallon storage tanks. The terminal has the ability to accommodate 60 railcars at a time and is expected to supply 15.2 million gallons in 2008 with an overall capacity that can eventually supply as many as 25 million gallons a year.
