Sealing solutions company will highlight its flat gaskets, manway gaskets, and valve repair kits Oct. 1-4 in Indianapolis

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions is taking its advanced polymer solutions for transportation and rail applications to Indianapolis, Indiana, for Railway Interchange 2023.

The Railway convention and trade show runs Oct. 1-4 at the Indiana Convention Center.

Trelleborg, with U.S. headquarters in nearby Fort Wayne, Indiana, will highlight its flat gaskets, manway gaskets, and valve repair kits for tank cars, which are all part of the company’s Tran-Secure Sealing Management Program.

“When a tank car requires maintenance, it isn’t on the rails transporting chemicals and other commodities, which means the equipment owner and shipper are losing money,” Thijs Menzel, chemical and processing global segment director for Trelleborg, said in a news release. “To minimize costly downtime, it’s critical that high-quality seals, gaskets, and other valve repair components are available in the right materials for immediate shipment.

“Through the Tran-Secure program, we provide that peace of mind to our customers.”

Attendees can also see cassette seals, oil seals, radial oil seals, Turcon Roto Variseals, Varilip PDR seals, and Slydring wear rings for transportation applications.

“We have solutions that go beyond radial oil seals and provide better results for transportation applications,” said David Kaley, Trelleborg business development manager for industrial Americas. “For example, our proprietary PTFE rotary shaft lip seals offer less leakage, less friction, greater longevity, and are well-suited to high surface speeds with low pressure.”
