Cargo Bolt II exceeds ISO/PAS 17712:2006 performance standards for high security seals in shear resistance, impact resistance, bending strength, and tensile strength. At 5/16-inch, the Cargo Bolt II's solid steel shank is thicker and stronger than most bolt seals in its price range. The steel bolt and lock body are zinc-plated to resist corrosion, and the lock body also is covered with an ABS polymer that indicates tampering attempts. Once locked, the only way to remove the seal is by using heavy-duty bolt cutters, providing a formidable deterrent to cargo tampering and theft.
The jacketed lock body is laser-engraved with a large, easy-to-read serial number. Lock body and bolt are individually packaged as a matched pair in clear poly bags that are linearly attached in numerical order by seal serial numbers.
