Gardner Denver Inc announced that its board of directors has unanimously appointed Michael M Larsen as president and chief executive officer, effective immediately. Larsen had served as vice-president and chief financial officer of Gardner Denver since 2010 and as interim CEO since July 2012. He was also appointed to the company's board of directors, effective immediately. Larsen will continue to serve as CFO while a search is conducted and until a successor is named.
Meritor Inc has revised its reporting structure and expects to report future results under two segments: Commercial Truck and Industrial and Aftermarket & Trailer. Pedro Ferro has been appointed vice-president and president of the Aftermarket and Trailer segment and will also assume responsibility for the Corporate Strategy group. Most recently, Ferro was based in Shanghai, China, as vice-president and president of the company's Industrial segment. Joe Mejaly, formerly vice-president and president, Aftermarket and Trailer, has elected to leave Meritor after 27 years with the company. Tim Bowes, formerly responsible for the Commercial Truck segment, has been named vice-president and president of the new Commercial Truck and Industrial segment. Bowes has led the Commercial Truck business since July 2011 after spending three years in China overseeing the Industrial group.
Elemica announced that its board of directors named John Blyzinskyj as the new chief executive officer. He brings with him more than 20 years of global industry experience in the software and IT services market. Blyzinskyj previously held executive general management roles at IBM Corporation, Hewlett Packard, and Motorola.
Eaton Corporation recently announced that Staci L Kroon has been named president-Automotive, North America Division, effective January 1, 2013. Kroon, most recently senior vice-president and general manager for Eaton's Commercial Vehicle Transmission business, will be based in Marshall MI. She succeeds Jake Hooks, who will retire March 1, 2013. A search for Kroon's successor is underway. Hooks began his career with Aeroquip Corp as a product engineer in 1978 and joined Eaton in 1999.
Firestone Industrial Products Europe BV recently appointed Toine Frazer as its new distributor sales manager in Europe. Prior to joining Firestone in 2008 as original equipment area sales manager and senior sales engineer at the company's technical center in Arnhem, The Netherlands, Frazer held a variety of sales positions with companies including Banner Benelux BV, Mitsubishi Electric Europe BV, and Groeneveld Transport Efficiency BV.
