NTTC Cleaning, Safety meetings to feature legal, rules discussions

THE NATIONAL Tank Truck Carriers (NTTC) annual Tank Truck Cleaning and Safety meetings March 28-31 will feature topics of interest for both sectors of the industry, including legal issues, regulations, technology, and training.

The cleaning meeting begins at noon, March 28 and continues through March 29. The safety meeting opens with a reception at 6 pm March 29 and continues through March 31. A safety awards banquet beginning at 7 pm March 31 will conclude the safety meeting.

All events will be at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Phoenix, Arizona.

Subjects and speakers include:

  • Recent Legal Developments with regard to Confined Space Entry, Marcel Debruge, Burr and Forman, LLP, with input from Ed Matlage, Miller Transporters Inc.

  • Environmental Regulatory Update, Joe Brown, WCM Group.

  • Tank Passivation: Prolonging Trailer Life, George Lyon, Lafayette/Cleaning Solutions Inc, and Bob Young, Lafayette Sani-Wash.

  • Foodgrade Cleaning, Dan Bowling, Bulkmatic Transport Co.

  • Kosher Washes — Chemical and Foodgrade, Bill Miller, MT Clean LLC, NTTC Cleaning Council vice-chairman moderating a panel.

  • Maintaining Facility Boilers, Terry Merlot, Arizona Boiler.

  • What is a Clean Tank? Why Aren't There More? Bill Miller, MT Clean, LLC.

  • Tank Entry PPE and Wash Rack Fall Protection, Jeremy Gray, National Safety Supply Inc.

NTTC Tank Truck Cleaning Council open forum also will be featured during the meeting.
