The Holland Group's in-cab air release system technology offers a way to eliminate disadvantages of manual fifthwheel uncoupling: wasted time, fatigue, greasy hands and clothes, and effort to pull the release handle.

This system permits a driver to control uncoupling from the cab. It is designed to work only when the tractor and trailer are not in motion and the parking brake is engaged. To open the fifthwheel lock, the driver pushes and holds a dash-mounted button to activate a pneumatic cylinder on the fifthwheel that releases the lock.

The system is available for all Holland 3500 Series stationary and sliding fifthwheel models, and it is backed by Holland's five-year warranty including parts and labor allowance.
