Blackmer has designed its GX and X Series sliding vane pumps to increase the overall efficiency of the biodiesel transloading process.

The GX and X Series pumps come in eight different models with maximum flow rates between 40 and 528 United States gpm. They are designed specifically for reliable continuous transloading of feed stocks and end products. These pumps are suited for handling biodiesel thanks to their self-priming and high suction lift capabilities, which make them ideal for pumping from underground storage tanks and bulk plants, stripping lines, and completely removing the heel from rail and transport tankers. The GX and X Series pumps are available in 2-, 2.5-, 3-, and 4-inch flanged port sizes.

The vane technology principles of the GX and X Series ensure proper sealing and volumetric output performance, even after significant in-service time. This eliminates the efficiency-robbing “slip” that shortens lobe and gear pump life, and improves production yields by stripping lines clean of residual product.

The GX and X Series both provide smooth, sliding vane action without metal-to-metal contact, which reduces pump friction, eliminates galling, and minimizes agitation of fluids, resulting in shear-sensitive, mild handling of thin liquids without product degradation.
