Renewable Energy Group (REG) Inc has announced that Western Iowa Energy, LLC earned BQ-9000 accreditation from the National Biodiesel Board and National Biodiesel Accreditation Committee.
A member of the REG network, Western Iowa Energy is a biodiesel production facility built to utilize multiple feedstocks. The production facility, located in Wall Lake IA, utilizes REG continuous-flow, patented technology.
BQ-9000 is a voluntary quality assurance program that demonstrates the quality control processes in place provide confidence that biodiesel produced at the facility will consistently meet the ASTM International D6751 specification for biodiesel.
