United Kingdom-based OEM Group Ltd is offering its SecuReSeal and SecuReSeal Data to the North American transportation marketplace.
Using a random-number mechanism developed with slot machine technology, SecuReSeal generates a new set of random numbers when the seal is closed. Once a trailer is loaded and the SecuReSeal is locked, it will generate a set of numbers that are recorded on a delivery manifest. Upon delivery, if the numbers do not match what is on the manifest, then the trailer door was opened and delivery is no longer considered secure.
SecuReSeal Data offers an interface to most vehicle, management, and tracking systems via a low-power wireless telemetry link. Using time, date, and location stamping, an exact record of when and where a trader door was opened will be stored when the numbers change. When integrated with realtime communication devices, dispatch and/or authorities can be alerted in case of unauthorized trailer door movement.
