A bill that would provide federal funds to US motor carriers adversely affected by competition from foreign-owned carriers has been introduced in the Senate. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-California) introduced Senate Bill 2606 June 10. The legislation, if enacted, would require the Secretary of Labor to establish the program.
