Horton Inc has expanded its VMaster viscous air-sensing fan drive line to include first-fit and aftermarket applications for Paccar, GVM, Gradall, and International vehicles.

New VMaster fan drive applications include: Paccar trucks with Cummins ISC or Cat C7 and 3126E engines, GVM agricultural sprayers with Cummins ISB or ISC engines, Gradall tracked excavators with John Deere 6068 engines, and International Class 5-7 trucks and buses with T444E engines. Later in 2004, Horton also plans to introduce a mid-size VMaster for use with medium-duty fans and the WindMaster MS9 fan.

VMaster is a pulley-mounted fan drive designed for use in heavy-, medium-, and light-duty trucks, buses, and off-highway equipment. It is equipped with a large flat plate bimetal sensor that sheds debris and reduces the likelihood of engine overheating due to fan drive failure. The fan drive provides smooth, automatic fan transitions to optimum speed and cools only when needed, resulting in improved engine performance, less noise, and reduced fuel consumption.
