For the second time in three years, Peterbilt, Denton, Texas, tops the rankings of JD Power and Associates 2001 Medium Duty Truck Customer Satisfaction Study in the conventional medium-duty truck segment.
“Our medium-duty vehicles consistently exceed customer expectations in a wide variety of configurations and applications," says Nick Panza, Peterbilt general manager and PACCAR vice-president. "We are delighted that once again this superior level of customer satisfaction has also been reflected in the JD Power and Associates study, the industry’s benchmark for customer satisfaction. And we are particularly pleased that our key medium-duty product, the Model 330, rated high in areas of importance to our customers, including vehicle performance, vehicle downtime, drivetrain, and design and styling.”
The study is based on interviews with more than 2,000 owner/operators and fleet managers of two-year-old medium-duty trucks. The study analyzes customer satisfaction in five main areas: vehicle performance, vehicle downtime, drivetrain, design and styling, and warranty.
Peterbilt introduced the Model 330, available in Class 6 and 7 truck and tractor configurations, in 1994.
