Robinair's new Cool-Tech ID Plus identifies the refrigerant type in vehicles and — in less than one minute — displays the purity level along with actual percentage of refrigerant. Cool-Tech ID will indicate if it's safe to recover or recharge refrigerant.

Using Neutronics infrared technology to identify refrigerant type on all R-12 and R-134a vehicles, Cool-Tech ID displays actual percentage of refrigerants it detects as well as percentage of air in the system. The unit passes the refrigerant only if the purity level is 98% or better, and it purges problematic air. A red light indicates if refrigerant is contaminated, while a green light means recovery can continue. If flammable substances such as butane or propane are sensed, the built-in hydrocarbon alarm emits a signal. The unit clears itself between each test, preventing cross-contamination.
