Sponsler Inc, a unit of IDEX Corp, makes precision turbine flowmeters and electronic instrumentation for sanitary applications.

The 3A Sanitary precision turbine flowmeter is ideal for custody transfer of beverages to and from transport vessels. The design of the turbine allows the end user to thoroughly clean the internals of the flowmeter without removing them from the housing. The 3A flowmeter is made up of all polished and crevice-free parts to prevent contamination. Every Sponsler precision turbine flowmeter is furnished with a multi-point flow calibration. The 3A Sanitary series ranges in size from 3/4" to 4" and can be installed either horizontally or vertically with various optional end fittings.

With a ± 0.5% standard linearity and a repeatability of ± 0.1% over a nominal flow range, this flowmeter is built to the standards of the Wisconsin Dairy Association with foodgrade, crevice-free Teflon or Carbide sleeve bearings for beverage applications. It can handle flow rates of 0.25 to 650 gpm, temperature ranges from -100° to + 450° F (-100° to 750° F with hi-temp coil), and can be cleaned without removal using low-pressure steam.
