Titan Pacific Resources Ltd's TD80 liquid level measurement system for transportation applications uses guided-wave radar. With its patented Time Domain Reflectometry technology, the TD80 provides accurate measurement in severe conditions.
A high-speed digital pulse is launched from the TD80 radar circuitry in the transmitter, travels down the probe, reflects off the surface of the liquid, and returns up the probe to the electronics. Liquid level may be displayed in volume or linear units. Programmable alarm points can be used for pump control and spill prevention warnings. The TD80 is easy to install with push-button calibration.
Measurable liquids include jet fuel, crude oil, and chemicals including hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, in temperatures ranging from -40° C (-40° F) to 120° C (248° F).
The TD80's increased safety features let users simultaneously view truck/trailer tank liquid levels outside, or in-cab, through the use of a digital signal transmitted via SV bus.
