Beall Corp has hired Gordon S Groshong as vice-president of product development. He returns to Beall after serving with Walker Stainless Equipment most recently as district sales manager. Beall has hired Daniel J Binswanger to serve as California regional vice-president. He most recently served as chief executive officer and chairman of the board of WMB Transportation.
Mark Slingluff has been promoted to the newly created position of director of marketing communications for Hendrickson and will continue to be based in Canton OH. He was elevated from communications manager of the trailer division.
Doug Hansen has joined the Stuart Tank Sales team as parts sales manager. He most recently served with Walker Stainless Equipment Co for 16 years in parts sales.
Michael E Delaney will join Freightliner's Executive Committee as senior vice-president of marketing, a newly created position. Most recently, he has been a partner in two Greensboro NC-based marketing firms and served as vice-president — commercial operations, for Unifi. John Merrifield, senior vice-president — Sterling and Western Star Trucks, will become senior vice-president — distribution for Freightliner LLC. Mark Lampert, senior vice-president — Freightliner Trucks, will also direct development of sales for the Sterling and Western Star brands, as well as for the Detroit Diesel on-highway engine business unit and the company's proprietary components sales. He will also oversee the company's used-truck operations managed by the Freightliner Market Development Corp business unit.
Hutchens Industries has hired Jim Downey as its new Southeast Territory sales manager, covering Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. He previously worked as a district sales manager for Hayes Lemmerz International.
D&W Diesel has promoted Jeff Hartgraves to product manager for tank truck equipment. He has 15 years of service with D&W, most recently as branch manager of the Albany NY location.
