Denver CO-based Gates Corp has inaugurated its new Customer Solutions Center (CSC), a state-of-the-art research, development, and training facility in Douglas County, Colorado.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony introduced the CSC as the centerpiece of research and development for Gates' Worldwide Fluid Power Division. The $14 million, 87,400 square-foot facility provides space for technology development and testing, and a training area with a hands-on hose assembly zone, contamination control center, and fluid power circuit lab. Secure vehicle bays provide space to Gates customers in equipment manufacturing to conduct confidential application testing and development.

The facility at 330 Inverness Drive South in Douglas County employs 60 engineers and scientists previously employed at the former Gates facility at Interstate 25 and Broadway, transfers from Gates facilities in Rockford and Galesburg IL, and new hires.

At the CSC, Gates products are tested for resistance to heat, cold, abrasion, vibration, and other conditions in the field. Gates has 43 manufacturing facilities worldwide and 27 distribution centers in 20 nations. The CSC is the single testing facility for the Gates Fluid Power Division worldwide.

The Customer Solutions Center provides an environment for customer companies and manufacturers to perform product training and troubleshoot equipment. The facility also offers training rooms with video conferencing capabilities.
