Odyssey Logistics and Technology Corp, Danbury CT, has been accepted into the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care Partnership Program.
“Odyssey has a deep appreciation for the necessity that the chemical industry, and its suppliers and service providers, place the highest priority on safety in all aspects of its business,” said Bob Shellman, Odyssey chief operating officer. “We are honored to have been accepted into the esteemed Responsible Care Partnership Program, a move which underscores our own values and also demonstrates an unparalleled commitment to the needs of our customers.”
All member companies are required to implement the standards of the Responsible Care Management System, which includes reviews of suppliers. As a Responsible Care partner, Odyssey will already be in alignment with its customers on Responsible Care issues, therefore minimizing their auditing responsibility and freeing up resources to focus on core business activities, the company said in a news release.
The Responsible Care initiative is a program that commits companies to bettering safety programs and addressing public concerns about the handling of hazardous materials.
