Seven trucking companies, six of them tank truck carriers, earned Shell Chemical’s 4-Star Carrier Award for outstanding performance during 2000. The awards were presented April 18 in Houston, Texas.

Carriers honored were Great Lakes Terminal & Transport Corp, Arlington Heights IL; Krajack Tank Lines Inc, Keasbey NJ; Linden Bulk Transportation Co, Linden NJ; Mercer Transportation Co, Louisville KY; Mission Petroleum Carriers Inc, Houston TX; Frank J Sibr & Sons, Alsip IL, and System Transport, Long Beach CA.

This was the eighth 4-Star Award for Great Lakes Terminal & Transport, and this was also the eighth year for the award. Krajack Tank Lines and System Transport each have earned seven of the awards.

Krajack Tank Lines, Mercer, Frank J Sibr & Sons, and System Transport scored 100% overall and 100% for on-time deliveries. Great Lakes Terminal & Transport posted a 99.92% overall score, with 99.97% for on-time deliveries. Linden Bulk achieved a 99.77% score overall, and Mission Petroleum had 99.01% overall.
