TMW Systems Inc announced the release of TruckMate 2009, a milestone upgrade for the operations system.
Among new features is true multi-company support, which allows a single database schema to handle more than one related company's business transactions. Multi-company functionality is integrated in all standard TruckMate 2009 applications, where viewing cross-company data or restricting access to a single company by user is now configurable.
TruckMate 2009 also marks the transition of the product to a rolling-release delivery strategy, replacing the previous numbered versions — the most recent, TruckMate v 8.0.
General additions to the software include a new screen-designer mode to tailor the display and arrangement of fields on common screens to fit business workflows; a GL Reset option for customized distribution of the GL account and revenue splitting based on loaded leg mileage; integration with ALK PC*Miler Tolls; integration with Carrier411 and with additional, online freight board services for brokerage; and richer options for the Crystal Reports Access Manager.
Enhancements to TruckMate's intermodal functionality include quick-entry mode for adding new containers from the trip doors list; displaying and assigning container and chassis names in yard and trip door views; and more per diem rate and free day schedule calculation options.
TruckMate 2009 now features improved interoperability with TMW's DriverSeat web portal, TMT Fleet Maintenance software, IDSC ExpertFuel, and the D2Link mobile communications system. Where the integrated accounting capabilities of TruckMate are not a fit, improved integration with Microsoft Dynamics GP financial applications expands robust and enterprise-class accounting options.
