TydenBrammall has been awarded a patent relating to its Quick Loc Seal and Quick Loc Plus cable seals. United States patent #6,578,886 took effect June 17, 2003, and specifically covers the seals' self-locking mechanisms.

The locking bodies, constructed of high-impact, ABS molded polymers, allow the cable on the ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) “Class B” Quick Loc Seal and Quick Loc Plus to be inserted in one step. Tools to insert and secure the cable into the lock body are no longer needed. The spring-activated locking mechanism then secures the cable inside the locking body so it cannot be retracted.

Quick Loc Seal and Quick Loc Plus incorporate 3/64"-diameter stainless steel, concentrically laid cable, which is produced by a series of individual cables laid around a center cable. Designed as indicative cable seals that can withstand prolonged exposure to extreme environmental conditions, the Quick Loc Seal and Quick Loc Plus are suitable for tanker truck, delivery truck, tote, and drum applications. Cable lengths can be ordered in 2" increments, and locking body marking characters, sequential numbers, and color coding are available.
