Sept. 25, 2017

Twin Eagle Sand Logistics LLC, a subsidiary of Twin Eagle Resource Management LLC, announced it acquired a frac sand terminaling asset near Bridgeport WV from Process Transloading Bridgeport.

The Bridgeport Terminal is well positioned to serve the southern Utica and Marcellus sand logistic markets with over 130 railcar spots and 20,000 tons of flat and silo storage. The terminal represents Twin Eagle’s entry into the growing Northeast sand logistics market.

Twin Eagle is one of the largest frac sand terminal developers and operators in the country with assets in the Eagle Ford, Permian, Denver-Julesburg, and Powder River Basins. Twin Eagle’s current terminals combined control over 1,600 railcar spaces with nearly 85,000 tons of storage capacity. In addition, Twin Eagle is also constructing 30,000 tons of silo capacity in Big Spring TX.

“We believe the Marcellus and Utica Basins, while established have significant growth potential given sand technology advancements and infrastructure additions needed to address logistical constraints,” said Griff Jones, Twin Eagle’s chief executive officer. “We are excited to expand our terminaling footprint into the Northeast as we look for ways to better serve our customers across the Twin Eagle network.”

Headquartered in Houston TX, Twin Eagle is a leader in the wholesale marketing of energy-related commodities including natural gas, power, and environmental products and services. Through its midstream business unit, named Twin Eagle Midstream, Twin Eagle owns and operates crude oil and frac sand logistical assets and provides related marketing of crude oil and natural gas liquids.
