BizSpeed is extending its fleet fueling and bulk lubricant delivery software to the iOS platform with goRoam for Bulk Delivery – mobile software specifically built for the last-mile logistics of bulk product delivery.
The release of the iOS version allows users to run goRoam for Bulk Delivery on iPhones and iPads. The iOS version includes all the same features as the Android version, including:
- Bar code scanning
- Real-time inventory tracking
- Signature capture
- Mobile printing
- Emailing PDF receipts
- GPS tracking and Geofencing
User workflows on the iOS version are the same as the Android version, whether delivering bulk products with electronic meter integration, bulk with mechanical meters or packaged lubricants. For distributors that already use Exxon-Mobil’s iOS application for tracking contamination, goRoam on iOS offers the ability to use their existing iOS mobile device to manage bulk and packaged deliveries.
BizSpeed said one of its largest customers is replacing all their existing US-based Windows Mobile devices with iOS devices. Drivers like the Android and iOS version of goRoam for bulk delivery because it is easy to use, fast, 'finger friendly' and features streamlined workflow for the specific type of delivery (metered, bulk or package).
“We are seeing lubricants customers and non-fleet-Fueling customers opt for non-rugged devices with camera-based barcode scanners,” BizSpeed said. “New phones and tablets have quality autofocus cameras that scan barcodes quickly.
“For more intensive barcode scanning, such as fleet-fueling where a driver may scan 100 assets at a stop, drivers still use our rugged Android device with a built-in barcode scanner, shoulder sling to hold the device and pistol grip to aim and scan.”
