QualaWash expands tank wash network with acquisitions in Shreveport LA, Neenah WI

QualaWash Holdings, LLC, North America's largest independently owned provider of commercial cleaning & maintenance services to the portable bulk container industry, announced on January 16 two new acquisitions: Shreveport Tank Wash in Shreveport LA and Tank Wash Specialists in Neenah WI. Both purchases were finalized in the fourth quarter of 2012, making them the third and fourth acquisitions for QualaWash in that quarter.

"The last quarter of 2012 proved to be a very active one for us," says Mike Bauer, QualaWash chief executive officer. "Acquiring businesses like these with strong reputations and solid customer bases is consistent with our future growth strategy. We want to maximize our service offerings to existing customers as we expand so are strategically moving into new markets with new and enhanced services whenever possible. The Shreveport location, for example, services bulk and intermediate bulk containers transporting petroleum products. We are excited to now offer this service to our customers doing business in the petroleum-rich gulf region. I expect QualaWash to continue expansion efforts like this where it makes sense in 2013."

Jay Sims, owner of Shreveport Tank Wash, and Mike Hansel, owner of Tank Wash Specialists, say they are pleased with the decision to sell the operations to QualaWash. "QualaWash has the resources to take what we've built and turn our wash racks into even better facilities," Hansel says. "Their business knowledge and environmental and safety expertise is unmatched in the industry."

"This is an exciting time for QualaWash," says QualaWash President Terry O'Brien. "The recent acquisitions allow us to continue expanding our national footprint, while enhancing the services provided by the previous owners, with increased focus on safety, environmental stewardship and service metrics. The addition of these two facilities expands our customer base, while offering existing customers access to the most robust facility network in the industry."
