Heniff turns to Olympus Partners for capital infusion

Dec. 10, 2019
Olympus Partners recapitalized liquid bulk transportation services provider Heniff Transportation Systems.

Stamford CT-based private equity firm Olympus Partners recently recapitalized liquid bulk transportation services provider Heniff Transportation Systems alongside Heniff management.

Heniff is a leading provider of bulk liquid truck, tank washing, ISO and transloading services. Based in Oakbrook IL, Heniff operates an integrated network of more than 40 terminals across the United States.

Olympus’ current and prior investments include AmSpec, Global Link Logistics, IXS, Meridian Rail Services, Snyder Industries, Tank and TravelCenters of America. The Olympus team involved with the Heniff deal included Dave Cardenas, a partner with the firm, Griffin Barstis, Bryson Bono and Jordan Gershman.

“Heniff is a proven leader in liquid bulk transportation,” Cardenas said. “Bob Heniff and the Heniff management team have a long track record of safety, service and growth. We look forward to supporting the company in its next phase of development and growth.”

Heniff bolstered its safety track record in August, securing the SmartWay Transport Partnership’s SmartWay High Performer designation for 2019. The partnership is a collaboration between the US EPA and the transportation industry.

“We are very excited to partner with Olympus,” said Bob Heniff, CEO of the company. “Bringing on a capital partner with significant transportation experience will allow us to further invest in our future and execute on our numerous expansion opportunities.”
