A Grammer Industries Inc transport loads anhydrous ammonia at a facility the tank truck carrier built in St James LA. Facilities like these are helping the tank truck carrier build strong partnerships with customers. Headquartered in Columbus IN, the carrier serves customers with a fleet that includes 270 tractors and 350 tank trailers.
Currently, just two of four bays are operational at the anhydrous ammonia loading facility in St James LA. The facility is largely automated and is operated by Grammer Industries drivers.
This is one of two tribute trailers in the Grammer Industries fleet. The other is a pink MC331 that raises awareness about breast cancer.

Grammer Industries new shop in Theodore AL has plenty of space inside for trailer service and maintenance. This is one of two shops in the system that handle a full range of code tank inspections and tests.
Computer diagnostics are used to track down system issues on company tractors.
Peterbilt tractors are specified with Cummins X15 engines.
Safety systems on the tractors include the Bendix Wingman Fusion package and Lytx on-board cameras. Forward-facing cameras are mounted high on the windshield while rear-facing are attached under the side mirrors.
Trailer maintenance diagnostics include Lite-Check’s Inspector 920 system.

Tractors and some trailers are now specified with widebase single tires.
