A&R has completed the acquisition and merger of Alliance Logistics Inc, a non-asset based third-party logistics provider, and MCB Services, a privately held refrigerated and dry van carrier.

MCB will be rolled into A&R Transport, headed by chief operating officer Andrew Mantey, and Alliance Logistics will change its name to A&R Global Logistics effective immediately. The logistics unit will be headed by John Ciszek, who has been named COO and replaces former chief executive officer Jeff O'Connor, who has been named to the newly created position of president of A&R Logistics Inc, the newly formed holding company for A&R Transport, A&R Global Logistics, and A&R Packaging and Distribution.

The company also has secured a growth capital commitment from FdG Associates, a growth equity company based in New York.

A&R Logistics is one of the nation's largest providers of bulk transport and logistics services to the plastic resin industry, as well as a provider of third-party logistics services to shippers in various other industries. The company operates from 22 facilities throughout the United States and manages a specialized fleet of approximately 700 tractors and 1,100 trailers. A&R Logistics is headquartered in Morris IL.
