Genox earns CGA Fleet Safety Excellence Award

Genox Transportation Inc, La Porte TX, recently received the Compressed Gas Association’s (CGA) prestigious “Fleet Safety Excellence Award” for 2013. This award is presented to bulk fleets for having the lowest total moving accident rate per million miles driven during the year. 

The coveted award is sponsored by Praxair Inc and was presented to Genox by Scott Kaltrider, president of Praxair Distribution Inc. The Fleet Safety Excellence award was presented during the CGA’s 101st annual meeting in St Augustine FL.

“It is a great honor to be recognized by the CGA for this award” said Kevin Mathews, Genox chief executive officer Genox, who picked up the award along with his father, Russ Mathews, chairman of Genox. “This award really is a reflection of the hard work and attention to detail of our entire team, especially our professional drivers. This is the kind of industry recognition we can all be very proud of.” 

Genox has built a safety driven culture which includes providing drivers with a strong maintenance program to ensure customer needs are a reliably met, Kevin Matthews added.
