PHMSA will host free hazmat training seminar in Oklahoma City

As part of an ongoing initiative to offer free transportation safety training to the public, the US Department of Transportation’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) announces its March 5-6 Multimodal Hazmat Transportation Training Seminar to be held in Oklahoma City OK.

As part of an ongoing initiative to offer free transportation safety training to the public, the US Department of Transportation’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) announces its March 5-6 Multimodal Hazmat Transportation Training Seminar to be held in Oklahoma City OK.

This training is a must for any emergency first responder or shipper and carrier of hazardous materials, according to PHMSA officials. Breakout sessions will include:

*How to Use the Hazardous Materials Regulations;

*Federal/State Inspection Programs;

*Legal and Regulatory Developments;

*Training and Security Requirements;

*Package Selections, Marking, and Labeling Requirements

*Shipping Papers

The program will take place at the Sheraton Midwest City Hotel in the Reed Conference Center, 5750 Will Rogers Road, Midwest City OK. The conference will run from 8 am to 4:30 pm both days.
