Industrial supplier Hose Heaven, headquartered in Bloomfield NJ, recently introduced a new line of self-locking camlock fittings.
The company said the new fittings are easily operated with gloves on and designed not to break, virtually eliminating the need to replace locking arms. The fittings are available in aluminum and 316 stainless steel, and have a pressure rating of 250 PSI.
“These are by far the safest and easiest self-locking camlocks to operate,” said Harry Combe, president of Hose Heaven. “Priced very competitively, this is an item that should be of interest to all carriers.”
Hose Heaven also offers a distinctive system for coupling composite hose.
“If you are buying composite hose, and have a nipple put in the hose and then screw another fitting onto the nipple to achieve your desired assembly, you are paying for four fittings per assembly, have two new leak paths and a heavier hose assembly,” the company said.
Hose Heaven can insert any fitting with a hose shank into the hose, the company said, thereby saving money by using only one fitting per end, eliminating the extra leak path and providing a lighter assembly.
