Ariel Research Corp has launched a new version of its Dangerous Goods database to meet the 2003 regulatory requirements from the ADR, RID, ADNR, IATA, 49 CFR, and Canadian TDG. The Dangerous Goods database encompasses worldwide regulatory transport requirements — spanning modes of transportation, jurisdictional boundaries, and language requirements.

New features of the database include:

  • English, German, French, and Dutch proper shipping names are standard for all European regulations.

  • The Canadian Transport of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are now available.

  • Data is available for all classes (including 1 and 7) of Dangerous Goods regulations

The Dangerous Goods database is accessible through a module of WebInsight, Ariel's web-based global chemical regulatory compliance tool, and can also be integrated into SAP's EH&S Dangerous Goods functionality through Adel's Staging Area software.

Ariel has also made improvements to the Staging Area, an interface for compiling, verifying, and loading regulatory data at the substance level.
