Midland Manufacturing, a division of OPW Fluid Transfer Group, has appointed David Clugg product manager. Before joining Midland, he was the sales and marketing manager at Schaumburg IL-based Four Star Electric.

Nicholas K Petek, an engineering supervisor for Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, has been elected to serve a three-year term as one of the 18 members of the national board of directors of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). Petek has been active in the Cleveland OH-area chapter of SAE for 12 years.

Michael Paul has been appointed plant manager for Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake LLC's new wheel-end manufacturing facility in Bowling Green KY. Paul moves to Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake after serving as plant manager for the Bendix Commercial Vehicle System's Frankfort KY site.

Morrison Bros Co has added Ken Hermsen as its new director of engineering.

Stemco has named Jim Reis vice-president-business development. His most recent assignment was vice-president-sales and marketing at the company. Donnie Wells has been promoted to vice-president-engineering. He served most recently as product manager for the seal and bearing product lines.

SkyBitz has appointed Abdul H Rana to its management team as chief technology officer. Rana comes to the firm with more than 28 years of technical and business experience in satellite and cellular communications, information systems, and data networks. He previously held a similar post at Arrowhead Global Solutions.

Webb Wheel Products has promoted Rich Gaulrapp to the newly created position of national sales manager for the OEM Business Unit. He previously served as the firm's senior OEM account executive.

Norio Karashima, president and chief executive officer of Yokohama Tire Corp (YTC) and president of Yokohama Corp of America, has been promoted to managing corporate officer, effective June 28.
