The Omaha Tank Plant celebrated a major milestone in early August when the 50,000th unit rolled off the production line of the Omaha NE facility.

The plant opened under the Fruehauf Trailer Corp banner in 1966, and the operation was purchased by Canadian manufacturer Remcor Group in 1994 and became LBT Inc.

Over the 45-year period, a full range of tank trailers were built at the 230,000-sq-ft plant. The 50,000th trailer was a DOT406 petroleum tanker ordered by Kenan Advantage Group.
