A review is scheduled of the results of the United Nation's Subcommittee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods session held recently in Geneva, Switzerland. The Department of Transportation has scheduled the public meeting in Washington, DC, July 2-6.

Meeting topics will include global harmonization of classification criteria; criteria for environmentally hazardous substances; intermodal requirements for the transport of solids in bulk containers; harmonized requirements for compressed gas cylinders; classification of individual substances; requirements for packaging used to transport hazardous materials; requirements for infectious substances; and hazard communication requirements.
