National Truck Driver Appreciation Week 2009 recently concluded, and the American Trucking Associations (ATA) announced that NATSO (National Association of Truck Stop Operators) won the inaugural National Truck Driver Appreciation Week Video contest.

NATSO, a national trade association representing travel plaza and truckstop owners and operators’s, explained the importance of our nation’s 3.5 million professional truck drivers in a creative and memorable way. The video will be featured on ATA’s www.Truckline.com webpage.

National Truck Driver Appreciation Week 2009 was successful, with events ranging from celebrations at trucking companies, suppliers, and state trucking association facilities to events at truck stops and travel plazas. Proclamations were issued from governors and mayors across the United States and senators and representatives have congratulated drivers both in state legislatures and in the US Congress.

The dates for National Truck Driver Appreciation Week 2010 will be September 19-25, 2010.
