Mack Trucks introduced the Mexican trucking market to the all-new Mack Anthem highway tractor on November 15 at ExpoTransporte in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Combining power, efficiency, and comfort with an unmistakably Mack design, the Mack Anthem gives drivers and businesses the tools they need to command the road.

Mack launched the Mack Anthem model for the US and Canadian markets in September to tremendous customer response. With a bold grille and prominent Mack wordmark, the Mack Anthem’s all-new exterior design optimizes aerodynamics for improved fuel efficiency. The Mack Anthem also includes new driving and sleeping environments designed with an emphasis on increasing driver comfort and productivity. Several configurations are available, including a Day Cab, an all-new 48-inch Flat Top Sleeper, and an all-new 70-inch Stand-Up Sleeper.
Despite its chiseled new looks, the Mack Anthem’s aerodynamic enhancements improve fuel efficiency by up to 3%. In addition to a new hood and grille, Mack engineers redesigned the roof and chassis fairings, mirror covers, and front bumper and air dam to more easily cut through the wind.
Brighter, longer-lasting exterior LED lighting is standard on all Mack Anthem models, including the headlights. A full 66% brighter than the previous bulb, the Mack Anthem’s new LED headlights improve nighttime safety by producing a whiter light and casting a wider beam down the road to better illuminate objects.
Inside, driver feedback was used to craft an all-new driving environment with improved functionality, ergonomics and convenience. Gauges, HVAC controls and the shift pad for the Mack mDRIVE automated manual transmission (AMT) have been relocated closer to the driver’s fingertips. All rocker switches now feature laser etching to help maintain markings over the long life of the vehicle.
Mack designers also created an all-new, spacious, comfortable sleeper environment. Full stand-up height is now available in the 70-inch sleeper, enabling even tall drivers to easily walk-through the cab into the living environment. The interior volume of the new sleeper is 35% larger than previous models.
Mack Anthem models sold in the Mexican market are equipped with Mack’s legendary integrated powertrain featuring Mack MP engines, the Mack mDRIVE AMT and Mack axles. Mack Anthem models sold in Mexico come standard with Euro 4-rated Mack MP engines. Where approved, and where ultra-low-sulfur diesel and diesel exhaust fluid are available, customers can choose Mack’s GHG2017 MP8 for improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.
