Marathon honors petroleum carriers

The Marathon Petroleum Company LLC (MPC) Transport Operations group recently recognized several tank truck carriers for excellence in environmental, safety, and delivery performance

The Marathon Petroleum Company LLC (MPC) Transport Operations group recently recognized several tank truck carriers for excellence in environmental, safety, and delivery performance, according to Marathon information.

Awards were presented in several categories to two levels of carriers, based on number of gallons delivered per year. Gold Level awards went to carriers delivering 100 million gallons or more, and the eight MPC proprietary fleet regions fall under this level. Silver Level awards went to carriers who deliver less than 100 million gallons a year.

Those in the gold level were MPC OH South Region, run outs; A D Conner Inc, station blends; MPC OH West Region, environmental stewardship; MPC MI West Region, fleet image; The McKinley Group, administrative oversight; MPC Southeast Region, safety/operations oversight; MPC OH South Region, customer service; and The McKinley Group, overflow carrier.

Receiving silver level awards were Kane Transport, run outs, Lewis Transport, station blends; Usher Transport, environmental stewardship; Brenner Oil Co, fleet image; Bay Transportation, administrative oversight; Kane Transport, safety/operational oversight; Crystal Flash, customer service; and SOCI Petroleum Inc, overflow carrier.

Also receiving outstanding recognition include: Jet Star Inc, emergency response; MPC OH West Region, MPC Transport Fleet of the Year; MPC Michigan East (runner up), region; A D Conner, region, large carrier; Crystal Flash region (fourth win in a row), small carrier; and Liquid Transport Corp (runner up), small carrier.

MPC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Marathon Oil Corporation and is not eligible for the emergency response award, Marathon said.
