American PetroLog opens BNSF transload terminal in Venus TX

May 30, 2017

American PetroLog LLC has announced that it has completed construction of a full service BNSF terminal in Venus TX with capabilities to transload and store bulk liquid, dry bulk, and carload commodities.

The company completed an asset purchase of B&E Grain Inc in January 2017 and has developed the eight-acre rail site to service customers in the Dallas-Ft Worth market.

American PetroLog's President, Jeff Colonna, said: "We made a strategic decision to open a transload and storage terminal in Venus because we recognize that north Texas is a rapidly growing market for both consumption and manufacturing. In many cases railroads provide the most economical and reliable means of freight transportation, so our services are needed to support this growth.

We've been fortunate to have already signed several loading slot and tank storage placement contracts and we are in the process of finalizing positions for a couple more customers."

Robert Kellner, American PetroLog chief relationship officer said: "Partnering with the professionals at BNSF has been a great experience and we are excited as we jointly identify opportunities to develop BNSF terminals in other markets."

American PetroLog is an employee equity company that is operated by a diverse team of logistics professionals focused on providing safe transportation and world class customer service while reducing the overall logistics spend of their customers.
