Eagle Capital has introduced a new tool that helps truckers manage their business by tracking expenses by month, by year, and most importantly, by mile. The Eagle Cost Calculator, located at www.milestomoney.com, is accessible and free to everyone. Users don't have to be an Eagle client or enter any personal information to use it — ever.

This calculator is easy to use. Users visit the website, and in the first tab, they either estimate or forecast the miles driven per year and then enter their fixed costs, which might include their truck payment, insurance payment, or the cost of licenses or permits. Users can enter costs by month or by year — the system does the math. In the second tab, users enter variable costs, which include a range of items from telephone to fuel to meals to repairs. Any fields may be left blank. In the last tab, users enter their income.

With the click of a button, users have their business financials in black and white. The report details how much it costs to operate their business by month or by year. Most importantly, the report lists how much truckers must earn per mile to cover their costs.
