External side rings and a thicker, quarter-inch shell provide enough support so that no internal bracing is required inside Trail King’s new 1,600-cubic-ft pneumatic dry bulk trailer. Piping is mandrel-bent for better product flow and reduced friction. The 42-ft trailer has an empty weight under 10,000 lb, according to Mike Heschke, Trail King product support manager.

Trail King's external ring pneumatic bulker strong, light, trouble-free

NEW from Trail King, Mitchell, South Dakota, is the APBE 1600 external ring Pneumatic bulk trailer that is lighter, stronger, and more maneuverable, according to company officials. Trail King introduced the new trailer March 25-27 during the 2010 Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky.

The new external ring design of the APBE 1600 not only reduces the number of places inside the tank where product build-up can occur but — combined with a new, thicker aluminum body shell — also increases the strength and durability of the tank. Newly designed lightweight one-piece formed aluminum support channels, both front and rear, are flame cut to conform perfectly to the tank to further optimize the strength and durability of the entire unit.

At only 42 feet in length, the APBE 1600 is one of the most compact, maneuverable pneumatic bulk trailers on the market today, according to company officials. Mandrel bent piping throughout provides unobstructed product flow, reduces friction, and lowers unloading temperatures for quicker, trouble-free operation.

“And, best of all,” says Mike Heschke, Trail King product support manager, “all these newly engineered enhancements add up to a trailer that weighs in at only 10,000 pounds. That means you'll be hauling less trailer weight and more payload.”

In addition to the a full line of Aluminum Pneumatic Bulk trailers, including the APBE 1600, Trail King manufactures a complete line of open deck, dump, live bottom, and specialized multi-axle and extendable trailers for the construction, commercial, agriculture, and specialized hauling industries. ♦
