CB&I announces contract to build low-temp storage tanks

CB&I announced it has been awarded a contract valued in excess of $50 million by Sunoco Partners Marketing and Terminals LP. CB&I will provide engineering, procurement, construction and pre-commissioning for two large low-temperature liquefied propane and butane tanks for Sunoco Logistics' Mariner South project in Nederland TX.

"This award builds on CB&I's proven capabilities in the engineering and construction of low-temperature tanks for major projects," says Luke Scorsone, president of CB&I's fabrication services operating group. "Our experience, client offerings, and vast resources position CB&I to support current and future propane and butane infrastructure projects in the liquefied petroleum gas industry."
